Benefits of attending a Bible Study
1. People commit their lives to Christ. “He was in the beginning with God.” John 1:2
2. New friends become a part of our lives. Caring and fellowship takes place. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for one another." John 13:34-35
3. Ministry is given and received. “rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone
does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.” Ephesians 6:7-8
4. There is life changing Bible study for spiritual growth and development. “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” II Peter 3:18
5. Our children receive a Christian education. “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious
deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in
Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet
unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep
his commandments;” Psalm 78:4-7
6. Life needs are met in Bible study. “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
7. People are encouraged and comforted in Bible Study. “who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those
who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” II Corinthians 1:4
8. People find wisdom and direction for their problems. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and
instruction.” Proverbs 1:7
9. Bible study guides us as we live. “Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way.” Proverbs 23:19
10. Bible study warns us about things that will harm us. “I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my
beloved children.” I Corinthians 4:14
11. There is an opportunity to share prayer needs and pray for others. “All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer,
together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.” Acts 1:14
12. There is an opportunity to reach others or Christ. "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's
house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3
